Trygve is changing name to Safeland!
Community safety app Trygve is changing it’s name to Safeland, in a move to globalise the tech brand.
The change has come after discovering that Trygve (a traditional Swedish name which also means safe and secure) is quite difficult to say and spell for a non-Swede. As the app is prominent in the UK and is set to take on additional countries this year, a new name was deemed necessary.
“While we have quite enjoyed the various pronunciations of ‘Trygve’ since launching in the UK, we have heard the feedback and welcome this new chapter, which includes a new name,” CEO Per Källgården said.
“Safeland captures who we are, as well as what we are trying to achieve together – a land that is safe”
Users are reminded to update their ‘Trygve’ app when prompted and visit the new website at www.safe.land
Users are also strongly encouraged to use the name change as an opportunity to spread Safeland to their local networks and neighbourhoods – Safeland is the same powerful safety app you can trust, only easier to spell and pronounce!

Safeland is a free app aimed at everyone, whether they are police, Neighbourhood Watch, council or a resident. It’s available on iOS, Android and computers.
